60th ANNUAL OAHU COUNTRY CLUB INVITATIONAL
NOTICE TO COMPETITORS
OPEN FLIGHT: Individual stroke play, 54-holes. BLUE TEES. Pay-off based on gross score. A cut will be made to the low 30 players & ties after 36 holes.
MID-AMATEUR FLIGHT: Individual Stroke Play, 36-holes. BLUE TEES. Pay-off based on gross score.
SENIOR FLIGHT: Individual Stroke Play, 36-holes. BLUE TEES.
Pay-off based on gross & net scores (July 1, 2024, revision).
SUPER SR FLIGHT: Individual Stroke Play, 36-holes. WHITE TEES.
Pay-off based on gross & net scores (July 1, 2024, revision).
Players in the Open Flight, Mid-Am Flight and Senior Flight who are in the top 30 (gross scores & ties) after 36-holes will advance to the final round and compete with the players in the open flight for the overall championship. Players from the Mid-Amateur, and Senior Flights will be eligible to double dip in the pay-off.
TIES: Any tie for first place will be decided by a sudden death play-off starting on Hole #1. All other ties will split monies.
USGA RULES WILL APPLY. LOCAL RULES WILL APPLY WHEN APPLICABLE.
- PACE OF PLAY: Will be strictly enforced (Rule 5.6a). See back of sheet for Pace of Play policy.
- OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by white stakes and fences.
- INTEGRAL OBJECTS: All retaining walls surrounding tee boxes; no free relief can be taken.
- IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS: Includes all protective fences and all artificially surfaced cart paths (Rule 16.1a)
*Local Rule – Sprinkler Head: A player may take free relief, 1 club length from closest point of relief, no closer to the hole, IF 1. The sprinkler head is 2 club length from the putting green, 2. The sprinkler head is on the line of play, and 3. Player’s ball is within 2 club length from the sprinkler head.
****ALL 3 CRITERIA MUST BE MET TO RECEIVE FREE RELIEF****
- NO PLAY ZONES: Flower beds are No Play Zones and players must take free relief from the following areas: left of #3 championship tee, by the restroom on #4 tee & around the #14 tee.
- PENALTY AREA DOUBLE STAKES. While playing #6, pond in front of #6 tee is considered a yellow penalty area. When playing #3 or #5, it is a red penalty area. When playing #18, the area in front of #18 tee is a yellow penalty area. When playing #17 it is a red penalty area.
- PROVISIONAL BALL: If you are unsure if your ball is “safe” from the penalty area (yellow stakes), you may play a provisional ball under Rule 18.3 and Local Rule B-3.
- DROP ZONES: Provided behind holes #1 and #8 as an additional option.
- GROOVES DEFINING THE PUTTING GREEN: In accordance with Rule 16.1d and Local Rule F-7, grooves defining the putting green are considered to be an abnormal ground condition. A ball touching a groove may be placed at the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.
- NO PRACTICING: A player must not make any practice stroke on or near the putting green of the hole just completed (Model Local Rule 8I- 1.2)
- SUSPENSION OF PLAY: In the event play is suspended, one long horn blast will signal players to discontinue play immediately. Two short horn blasts will signal players to resume play. Local Rule 8J, J-1.
- DOUBT AS TO PROCEDURE: Should a player be unsure of a procedure that he should take and there is no rules referee nearby, he may play the hole with two balls (Rule 20.1c). The competitor must report the facts of the situation to the Committee before returning his scorecard. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Out of Bounds/Loss Ball Local Rule: Not in effect for tournament play.
